TPEE/NITRILE RUBBER SOLE
TPEE (Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer), an innovative material used for the midsole, in a formula developed specifically for this special line of COFRA footwear, boasts unique properties.
In fact, it blends the rigidity and mechanical resistance typical of thermoplastics (such as TPU) with the elasticity and lightness typical of elastomers (such as EVA).
The extreme lightness is given by the innovative technique of expansion of the midsole material. Defined as “supercritical”, this process takes place in “critical” temperature and pressure conditions, thanks to the reaction triggered by a completely inert gas such as nitrogen, with zero environmental impact. An absolute innovation in work footwear.
The nitrile rubber tread gives the footwear the best performance in terms of slipping and resistance to the corrosive action of hydrocarbons. The result is an incomparable lightweight sole with decidedly advanced chemical-physical-mechanical properties, which guarantee long-lasting performance in harsh environments.
